My trip to Mottisfont

My family and I are members of the National Trust which means we get free entry to some of the most amazing stately homes in the UK and yesterday we went to visit Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire which is quite a drive but they were doing  Christmas/12 days of Christmas decorations!

This photo was taken in the summer so when we were there it was quite muddy and grey but still lovely and there was a nice fresh breeze.

Inside they had the most amazing flower displays and Christmas decorations!

In the great hall they had the most amazing mini costume design models I have ever seen that were loaned from the royal opera house in London!

Aren’t they beautiful?

There was also an amazing cellarium which is a kind of office for the original priory but it reminded me of a crypt.

And finally here is an example of their display for day one of the 12 days of Christmas-a partridge in a pear tree!

Thank you for reading! xxx
